ARCHITECTURE2006
A really big museum for ordos, a very small mongolian town that has pulled unbelievable amounts of money, foreign architects and international attention together to redefine the concept of city-from-scratch. in this first round of city expansion this mueum was one of 8 cultural buildings, each outfitted to hold more people than the entire population of the town at that stage.
The potatoe or rock-shaped museum is under construction and supposed to finish 2008. Again the conceptual design was already done and handed over to me i for schematic design and DD.
Since then an army of designers has worked on it to bring it from paper to reality.
